    The gifts for our life journey when we begin putti The gifts for our life journey when we begin putting into practice the skill mindfulness do not happen, or appear, immediately. But we have put the wheels in motion to eventually bring about amazing, once unthinkable to be possible ahas and discoveries, many people may call them break-throughs, that bring to our attention why something wasn't working for so long or how something can work that we didn't understand or see until we saw with clarity the full picture.

It is wonderful to note that the definition of being mindful is simply to have good control over our attention: we can place our attention wherever we choose and it stays there, fully in the present moment and we have the mental muscle strength to not be distracted. We notice ourselves - our feelings, attention, actions, and those of others and our environment in their detail and truth. 

And when we are mindful regularly, we begin to change our brain, and thus our mind in the most wonderful of ways.
